About Me

My name is Chase Burston, and I’m from Kennesaw, Georgia—about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. I am currently a Mass Communications major at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where I’ve spent the last three years growing academically, athletically, and professionally. As a Division I student-athlete competing in track and field, I specialize in sprinting events. In addition to my athletic commitments, I am an active member of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), where I participate in community outreach and volunteer efforts to support local organizations. Professionally, I’ve gained valuable experience working in the SIUE Sports Marketing Department. There, I was involved in advertising and promotional initiatives for games and events, as well as event management responsibilities. These opportunities have fueled my passion for sports marketing and strengthened my goal of working with a professional sports team—specifically focusing on advertising strategy and promotions. This portfolio showcases my best work from over the past five years, including projects that highlight my skills in Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Cloud. You’ll also find my resume, detailing the roles and experiences I’ve had throughout my college career. Thank you for taking the time to explore my portfolio. I hope it gives you a clear view of the dedication, creativity, and experience I bring to the field of sports marketing.

Future Plans

Next year, I will be attending Northwood University to pursue my MBA in Marketing. My goal in earning this degree is to gain a deeper understanding of the business side of advertising and marketing. While I already have a strong creative background, expanding my knowledge from a business perspective will enhance my opportunities for a successful career in the field. I will also be competing in my last season of track at Northwood before retiring. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in marketing—ideally within the sports industry, working for a professional or collegiate team—but I’m also open to opportunities outside of sports that allow me to grow and apply my skills.
